Most people require more than one treatment, especially if you have not whitened your teeth in the last 6 months. Stains continue to build in your teeth and can become dense, requiring more than one session to restore your smile to its natural whiteness.

Teeth whitening strips are not as effective, because they contain little or no hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide is the only known ingredient that can safely breakdown and remove stains from the dentin of your teeth. All our formulas contain hydrogen peroxide and are much more effective than whitening strips and most importantly will give you immediate results.

You can choose to whiten your teeth prior to a dental cleaning or after a dental cleaning; the whitening process is just as effective either way. If you choose to do your dental cleaning first wait about a week between appointments, as this will give your gums time to recover from the cleaning.

It’s important to understand that there are two phases to teeth whitening: Phase I is Whitening, getting back to your “genetic” white color through the whitening process. Phase II is Maintenance. Once you achieve your “genetic” whitening color comes the process of maintaining your whiteness.
After: Tips for maintaining Teeth After Whitening
If you have undergone a teeth-whitening procedure, it shows that you place great care on your personal appearance. There are a number of things you can do to make sure your whitening results last. Below are some tips to enhance and maximize your whitening results for a long lasting, bright and healthy smile. Following these aftercare tips will maximize your ability to maintain your whitening results.
-
For a minimum of 24 hours after teeth whitening avoid consuming coffee, tea, sodas, wines, beer and juices. The enamel tubules (pores) of your teeth will open up temporarily as a result of the process. Teeth are more susceptible to staining during this time.
-
For a minimum of 24 hours avoid eating tomatoes, spinach, beets, red sauces, berries, chocolates or any other foods that have the propensity to stain your teeth. A good guideline is, if it will stain a white shirt it will stain your teeth.
-
If you can limit your consumption of the above beverages and foods your whitening shade should improve by up to one shade over the next three days.
-
If you are a heavy caffeine drinker (coffee, soda or tea) drink with a straw. The straw will help minimize the amount of contact your beverage will have with the front of your teeth.
-
Rinse your mouth or brush your teeth immediately after meals. The quickest way to lose the whiteness of your teeth is to leave them stained and discolored by the foods and beverages you consume. The longer these foods stay on your teeth, the quicker they’ll affect the color of your teeth. It is especially important to remove the sugars, acids and caffeine as soon as possible after eating.
-
Use toothpaste that has whitening properties to help protect your teeth from getting stained.
-
Refrain from smoking of any kind. Smoking is a significant cause of discoloration and the hardest type of stain to remove.
-
We also recommend the use of our whitening pens to protect from staining and further the whitening of your teeth until your next in-store or at home treatment.
-
Remember, we can give you a comprehensive whitening and/or maintenance plan after your first treatment so it will be easy to protect your investment.
